The school is supported by an active PTA, named Friends of Roundhay St. John's Primary School. All parents are automatically members of Friends of Roundhay St. John's and are encouraged to support it by attending the AGM and committee meetings, volunteering for committee roles, helping out and attending functions.

The aims of the Friends of Roundhay St. John's Primary School are to support the building of links between the parents and the school and to raise money for additional items for the children. It fulfills these aims by arranging a variety of events throughout the year.
