Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is funding additional to the main school budget. The grant is allocated in three parts: pupil premium for pupils known to be eligible for free school meals in any of the previous six years, looked after children and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.
Schools have the freedom to spend the Premium, which is additional to the underlying schools budget, in a way they think will best support the raising of attainment for the most vulnerable pupils.
We aim to ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all pupils and that appropriate provision is made for pupils who belong to vulnerable groups. This includes ensuring that the needs of pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding are adequately assessed and addressed.
